PR Labs Noni – for all your favourite smoothies, shakes and juices

A superfood containing vitamins, minerals, xeronine and scopoletin

Product Benefits

  • Contains xeronine
  • Contains scopoletin
  • Contains vitamins (vitamins A, B, C, E and H), minerals (potassium, calcium, magnesium, selenium, manganese, phosphorus, copper, iron and zinc) and a range of other essential nutrients such as proteins, polysaccharides and glycosides

Suggested Use

Noni is supplied as a dried powder in a capsule. Take the capsules with a glass of (spring) water or break open and stir the contents into your favourite smoothie, juice or shake.

Origins

Noni (Morinda citrifolia) is a tropical tree that grows in Southeast Asia, Australia and the Pacific islands. The noni tree belongs to the coffee tree (Rubiaceae) family and prefers shady tropical forests and volcanic soil, but can also be found on open rock and limestone terrain and even on beaches. The tree can grow up to 9 meters tall and boasts long, dark green leaves that are often shiny and deeply veined, in addition to beautiful fruits and flowers. When ripe, the fruit is yellow/white in colour. It has a bitter flavour and a rather pungent smell that is often not to everyone’s taste, hence the nicknames of ‘cheese fruit’, ‘vomit fruit' and 'dog dumpling’. Generally, this type of fruit is enjoyed raw, but the Aborigines often eat it in a curry. If roasted, the seeds can also be eaten.

Quantity and Dosage

Take 1 noni capsule with a glass of (spring) water, 1 to 3 times daily. You can also break open the capsule and stir the contents into your favourite smoothie, juice or shake. One jar of noni contains 60 capsules, so can last up to 60 days, depending on your daily intake.

Facts

  • Noni is known by a number different names, including ‘great morinda’, ‘Indian mulberry', 'nunaaki' (India and Sri Lanka), ‘mengkudu' and 'pace' (Indonesia and Malaysia), ‘kumudu’ (Bali), ‘apatot’ (the Philippines), 'beach mulberry’, ‘cheese fruit’, ‘vomit fruit’ and ‘noni’ (Hawaii) and finally ‘dog dumpling’ (Barbados).
  • The Aborigines, Polynesians and inhabitants of Southeast Asia have used noni for over 2000 years both as a valuable food source and for medicinal purposes. Noni fruit juice is particularly popular with the locals.
  • As noni usually grows on volcanic soil, it has a high nutritional value and contains more than 160 different nutrients
