Origins 

Ghee is made from clarified butter that is gently heated only up until the point that all its moisture has evaporated and its typical nutty flavour has been allowed to develop. One of ghee’s most important benefits is that it can be heated to an extremely high temperature without releasing hazardous emissions. Ghee is widely used in Indian Ayurvedic cooking, especially for frying and roasting. However, unlike traditional ghee from India, which often has a bitter aftertaste, Ghee Easy boasts a neutral, slightly butterscotch or faintly nutty flavour. 

Quantity and dosage 

Use one or more teaspoons (approx. 6 ml or more) of Ghee Easy Indian Spice for baking, roasting and frying. One jar of Ghee Easy Indian Spice contains 185 grams, so can last more than 40 days, depending on how much you use. 

Facts 

  • The smoke point of ghee is around 250 C
  • Many Indian ghee products sold as "vanaspati" or "dalda" contain so-called vegetable ghee, which is rich in harmful trans fats. Ghee Easy on the other hand, is made exclusively from organic Dutch butter and contains absolutely no trans fats.
